About the introduction and application range of 3000 series aluminum sheet

The 3000 series aluminum alloy is primarily composed of manganese, which is why it is often referred to as Al-Mn alloy. This type of alloy offers high strength, excellent formability, and good corrosion resistance. It is suitable for anodizing and welding but cannot be strengthened through heat treatment. Its applications range from household kitchenware like pots and pans to industrial components such as heat exchangers in power plants.

3003 aluminum alloy is commonly used in manufacturing parts that require high corrosion resistance and good weldability. These include kitchenware, food storage containers, chemical processing equipment, storage tanks, pressure vessels, pipelines, and other similar items. It provides better strength compared to 1xxx alloys while maintaining good weldability, making it ideal for use in the food and chemical industries, as well as in transportation and general-purpose utensils.

3A21 aluminum alloy is widely used in the aerospace industry for aircraft fuel tanks, oil pipe rivets, building materials, and food equipment. As an Al-Mn alloy, it is one of the most commonly used anti-rust aluminum grades. Although its strength is relatively low—only slightly higher than industrial pure aluminum—it cannot be strengthened by heat treatment. Therefore, cold working is often applied to enhance its mechanical properties. In the annealed state, it exhibits high plasticity, good semi-cold work hardening, and excellent corrosion resistance. However, its machinability is poor, and it performs well in welding applications.

3004 aluminum alloy is extensively used in color-coated aluminum substrates, shutter materials, decorative elements, packaging, printing, construction, transportation, and electronics. Being an Al-Mn alloy, it is also one of the most widely used anti-rust aluminum grades. With a strength slightly higher than industrial pure aluminum, it is not suitable for heat treatment but can be improved through cold working. It has high plasticity in the annealed state, good semi-cold work hardening properties, and excellent corrosion resistance and weldability. It is mainly used for low-load parts that require high plasticity and good weldability, such as mailboxes, fuel or lubricant conduits, liquid containers, and other small-load components made through deep drawing.
