This is the first of two identical pumper trucks built on a Spartan Metro Star MFD flat roof chassis. The unit is powered by a powerful Cummins L9 450HP diesel engine paired with an Allison 3000EVS transmission, ensuring reliable performance in any situation. The chassis features an EMS cabinet in the rear of the cab and a Groenveld automatic greasing system for maintenance convenience.
The fire pump is a high-capacity Hale QMAX 1500-GPM system, equipped with a FoamPro 2001 dual tank foam injection system, making it ideal for handling both water and foam-based fires. It delivers water through three crosslays, one Front Bumper discharge, three 2½-inch discharges, one 3-inch LDH discharge with a 5-inch Storz adapter, a deck gun with an Akron Apollo monitor, and a Hannay booster hose reel. A 6-inch rear suction inlet ensures efficient water intake from various sources.
The pump control panel is located on the side of the truck, featuring a Vernier throttle for precise speed control and a Hale Total Pressure Master (TPM) relief valve system for safety and efficiency. The water tank is a durable UPF 1500-gallon poly tank, complemented by two 25-gallon foam cells for added flexibility.
The body is constructed entirely from extruded aluminum, with flush-mounted hinged doors and a single Gortite roll-up door at the rear. The truck features Black Line-X coated steps, catwalks, and body panels for enhanced durability and a sleek appearance. Inside, the compartments are stocked with adjustable shelves, slide-out trays, and PAC-TRAC tool boards to keep everything organized and accessible.
Ladders are stored on the passenger side using a Ziamatic dual-arm ladder rack, which also holds two lengths of hard suction hose. The hose bed includes a hinged aluminum diamond plate cover with vinyl flap enclosures for protection and easy access.
For power on the scene, the truck is equipped with a Smartpower HR-15 15kW hydraulic generator, providing 120/240VAC power. It includes two Hannay electric cable reels with 200 feet of 10/4 cable, each with a Circle D junction box, and a Command Light CL602A-W4 LED light tower for excellent visibility during night operations. The warning lights are all Whelen Super LED units, offering bright and reliable visibility.
