This is from Steve Redick: I took a few photos of what was reported as a "pin in" incident at EB JFK near Natoma. When I arrived, no one was actually pinned. At least one person was taken to a trauma center. It looked pretty serious… I hope the injuries were not too bad. There was a good view of the rescue technique being used. What is the working principle of oil pump?
When the engine is working, the drive gear on the camshaft with the transmission gear of the motor oil pump, so that the drive gear fixed on the drive gear shaft rotates, thereby driving the driven gear to rotate in the opposite direction, the oil from the oil inlet cavity along the backlash and pump wall to the oil outlet cavity.
In this way, a low pressure is formed at the oil inlet chamber to produce suction, which sucks the oil in the oil pan into the oil chamber.
Due to the continuous rotation of the main and driven gears, the oil is constantly pressed to the required part.
