This standard ensures that the pipes meet strict requirements for safety and performance in high-pressure environments.

Manufacturing Process: Pipes conforming to GB/T 6479 are typically produced through hot rolling or cold drawing, depending on the required precision and application. Heat treatment is essential for enhancing the mechanical properties of the material. For wall thickness (WT) ≤ 30 mm, normalization followed by tempering is recommended. For WT > 30 mm, quenching and tempering or normalization and tempering is applied.

Inspection and Testing: Comprehensive testing includes chemical composition analysis, tensile testing, flattening test, expansion test, impact testing, macroscopic inspection, non-metallic inclusion assessment, non-destructive testing (NDT), surface inspection, and dimensional checks. These tests ensure that the product meets all required quality standards before delivery.

Standard Lengths: 4000mm, 6000mm, 9000mm, 12000mm, etc.
Maximum Unfolded Length: Up to 30 meters. Additional processes like U-bending, finning, and nailing are available upon request.

Surface Options: External shot blasting to remove scale and achieve a matte finish, or surface polishing for further processing such as fin trimming.
