From Justenfh.com: Mark Robert Amore, a beloved son, husband, father, and friend, passed away on April 16, 2020, at the age of 46. Born on February 1, 1974, in McHenry, Mark was the cherished son of Wayne and Christine (Dzanbozoff) Amore. He married his soulmate, Jaimie Tabert, on September 28, 2013, in McHenry, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. Mark’s passion for helping others began early in life. As a child, he would ride his bike through the streets of McHenry, chasing fire trucks and dreaming of one day being part of the emergency services. That dream became a reality when he joined McHenry County Emergency Services and Disaster Agency as a radio operator during high school. His first call was to assist with the Plainfield tornado in 1990, an experience that shaped his future career path. After high school, Mark pursued EMT training at McHenry County College and started working with TEK Ambulance Service. He later advanced to paramedic and firefighter training, eventually becoming a full-time firefighter/paramedic with the Lincolnshire Riverwoods Fire Protection District in May 2001. He also served as a mechanic for the district, using the skills he learned from his time with McHenry Township Fire Protection District, where he worked alongside his father for 20 years before retiring as a lieutenant. Outside of his firefighting duties, Mark had a deep love for heavy machinery and equipment. He completed an apprenticeship with Local 150 Operating Engineers and worked for Lake County Grading for 21 years before joining Pirtano Construction. His work ethic and dedication were unmatched, and he always put family first. When the weather allowed, Mark could be found on the water, boating on the Chain-O-Lakes. In the winter, he embraced the snow with his snowmobile, making annual trips to northern Wisconsin to chase the thrill of the north woods. Boating, snowmobiling, and camping with his wife Jaimie and their children, Ayden and Brynlee, were among his greatest joys. Mark is survived by his wife, Jaimie; his children, Ayden and Brynlee; his parents, Wayne and Christine Amore; his in-laws, Cindy and Greg Tabert; his sister-in-law, Jenna Ridenour; his brothers-in-law, Jason and Justen Tabert; his grandmother, Marge Dzanbozoff; his aunts, including Sister Jean Amore, Sandy Amore, and Margret “Peg†Stevens; his uncles, Damien “Buster†Amore; and many cousins and close friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Mary Amore and Thomas Dzanbozoff; his uncles, Tom Amore, Terry Amore, and Ray Stevens; and his cousins, Cheri Amore and Tony Williams. In light of the ongoing pandemic, a drive-through viewing will be held at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, April 21, 2020, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. The public is asked to remain in their vehicles while paying their respects.
