Since 2001, Baosteel has formed a research project group to tackle the production technology of shadow mask strip steel, and successfully developed the shadow mask strip steel by one cold rolling method. So far, more than ten specifications have been successfully tested. In the second quarter of 2004, the 1420 unit of Baosteel Branch began to produce a cold-rolled shadow mask strip in small batches. The market responded well and demand was strong. However, due to technical constraints, Baosteel cannot produce shadow mask strips with typical specifications below 0.17 mm. Domestic stencil companies can only import a large number of products from abroad. In response to this situation, Baosteel also implemented a research project on secondary cold-rolled shadow mask strip in June last year. After this, Baosteel has overcome the technical difficulties of making difficult process parameters, high chemical composition control precision, plate thickness thickness accuracy and surface quality requirements, which laid the foundation for the successful trial production. In September last year, Baosteel successfully completed the trial production of the first batch of 0.15 mm secondary cold-rolled shadow mask strip, and in November it sent the batch to Xianyang Rainbow Electronic Stencil Factory and Nanjing Electronic Stencil Technology Co., Ltd.
