Working fire in Crystal Lake, 8-26-14

A working structure fire broke out at 487 West Virginia Street on Tuesday evening around 6 PM. Engine 344 was the first to arrive on the scene, reporting heavy smoke and taking the lead. The fire originated in an RV parked inside the bay of the auto shop, but it didn't spread extensively to the building itself. The firefighting resources involved included Engine 344, Engine 341, Engine 343, Ambulance 351, Ambulance 353, Ambulance 354, Truck 381, Battalion 330, multiple chiefs, Algonquin Truck 181, Algonquin Battalion 130, and McHenry Township Engine 44 providing automatic aid.
In one of the attached photos, you can see the new Crystal Lake Ambulance 351. The fire damage appears to be localized, primarily affecting the RV, while the surrounding structure sustained minimal impact. It's worth noting that the firefighters were able to contain the blaze effectively without causing further complications.
