What are the thermocouple interference prevention measures?

The use of thermocouples requires good anti-interference measures to improve the measurement accuracy of thermocouples. The basic method is to avoid magnetic fields. Compensation cables and shields, as well as power cables and signal cables, are kept away from each other. The specific method is as follows:

1. Shielding Method Shielding method is to shield the thermocouple's compensation wire in the iron pipe or other metal shield. This prevents electromagnetic interference and high-voltage electric field interference. When using this method, the iron pipe and the shield should be well grounded, and the compensation wire should be twisted.

2. Isolating method The isolating method is to suspend the thermocouple so that the thermocouple is not in contact with the refractory bricks of the furnace wall, and insulation is also used between the thermocouple and the bracket for isolation. This method can well prevent high temperature leakage interference.

3, grounding method This method is to ground the measurement loop, the interference into the earth to ensure the measurement accuracy of the instrument. This method has two forms: the first is the reference junction of the thermocouple, and the second is the grounding of the thermocouple measurement terminal.
When using the reference terminal grounding method, one end of the thermocouple (or compensating wire) output is grounded through a sufficiently large capacitance (the larger the capacitance is, the better the better is allowed). The measuring terminal grounding method is to connect the thermocouple measurement terminal to ground, that is, to draw a wire ground from the measuring end of the thermocouple. This method has a good preventive effect against high temperature leakage interference. Metal wires that are resistant to high temperatures and harmless to thermocouple electrodes should be used when selecting wires.
