Last night, a reporter learned from local authorities in Guangzhou that the city's quality supervision and industrial and commercial law enforcement departments have successfully dismantled a large-scale criminal gang involved in manufacturing and selling counterfeit automobile suspension systems. During the operation, law enforcement officers discovered a number of fake vehicles hidden in warehouses and production sites in Baiyun District. To transport one of the large-scale counterfeit shock absorbers, seven heavy-duty trucks were required, and the process took over five hours. What stunned the officials even more was the revelation that the company behind this illegal operation is still a member of the board of directors of the Guangzhou Auto Parts Industry Association.
The counterfeit suspension systems were found to be imitations of well-known Japanese brands. Law enforcement teams inspected a warehouse in Baiyun District and seized nearly 4,000 fake auto parts, including over 1,400 units of "KYB" and "KAYABA" brand shock absorbers. These two brands are widely used in various car models, especially in Japanese vehicles.
