Diaphragm valves are manually or pneumatically operated and are specifically designed for hygienic and aseptic processes in the pharmaceutical industry. These valves are ideal for controlling and switching fluid flow.
Diaphragms seal the valve body and seat, ensuring no contact with the environment, making them suitable for aseptic processes. When the valve is closed, the pressure seal that holds the diaphragm moves towards the sealing face of the valve body. As the pressure plate moves, the diaphragm bends and is forced toward the center of the valve body's seat, effectively shutting off the flow path. The design of the valve body and pressure plate prevents the diaphragm from being pressed, ensuring reliable operation. These valves can be manually operated or actuated by air, and they can also be controlled via a control top or solenoid valve.
They are widely used in various fields such as beer, beverage, dairy, fruit juice, pharmacy, and biological industries.
