DESCRIPTION
The Roots Rotary Piston Pump System is composed of a Roots Vacuum Pump and a Rotary Piston Vacuum Pump connected in series. The Rotary Piston Pump serves as the pre-vacuum pump and the backing pump for the Roots Pump, while the Roots Pump is the main vacuum pump. The displacement ratio between the two pumps is chosen based on the long-term performance of the vacuum system. For low vacuum applications, a smaller ratio (2:1 to 4:1) is recommended, whereas for medium or high vacuum, a larger ratio (4:1 to 10:1) is preferred.
