From Justenfh.com: Mark Robert Amore, a beloved son, husband, father, and community member, passed away on April 16, 2020, at the age of 46. Born on February 1, 1974, in McHenry, Illinois, Mark was the son of Wayne and Christine (Dzanbozoff) Amore. He married his loving wife, Jaimie Tabert, on September 28, 2013, in McHenry, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love, adventure, and family. Mark's passion for helping others began at an early age when he would ride his bike through the streets of McHenry, chasing fire trucks with excitement and admiration. This interest led him to join the McHenry County Emergency Services and Disaster Agency as a radio operator during high school. His first call was responding to the Plainfield tornado in 1990, which marked the beginning of a lifelong dedication to emergency services. After high school, he pursued EMT training at McHenry County College and worked as an EMT with TEK Ambulance Service before becoming a paramedic and firefighter. At 21, he joined his father in the McHenry Township Fire Protection District, where he served for 20 years and eventually became a lieutenant. Outside of firefighting, Mark had a deep love for heavy machinery and equipment. He completed the Local 150 Operating Engineers apprentice program and spent 21 years working with Lake County Grading before joining Pirtano Construction. In addition to his career, he also worked as a mechanic for the Lincolnshire Riverwoods Fire Protection District, using his technical skills to support the team he loved. A true outdoor enthusiast, Mark enjoyed boating on the Chain-O-Lakes and snowmobiling in the northern Wisconsin woods. He cherished time with his family, especially with his children Ayden and Brynlee, and was always eager to explore new adventures together. His greatest joy was being a husband and father, and he found fulfillment in every moment spent with those he loved. Mark is survived by his wife, Jaimie; their children, Ayden and Brynlee; his parents, Wayne and Christine Amore; his in-laws, Cindy and Greg Tabert; his sister-in-law Jenna Ridenour; brothers-in-law Jason and Justen Tabert; his grandmother Marge Dzanbozoff; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Mary Amore and Thomas Dzanbozoff, as well as several uncles and cousins. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials to be made to M.A.C.C.
