**Principle**
When water enters the pipe, the plug stops at the lower part of the locating bracket to release air in large quantities. Once the air is completely discharged, water enters the valve, causing the ball to float and close the plug, stopping the exhaust. Under normal operation, a small amount of gas may accumulate on the upper part of the pipe. When this reaches a certain level, the water level in the valve drops, along with the float ball, allowing air to be released through a small hole. In case of power failure or pump stoppage, when the water in the pipe is emptied, negative pressure can easily form in the pipe. The float ball will drop with the water, opening the small hole and allowing a large volume of air to enter through the large hole, ensuring pipeline safety.
**Note:** This product is not suitable for sewage pipelines.
The Fire Protection Combination Air Valve is designed to remove 2% deliquescent air from the water supply system. It is ideal for installation in high-rise buildings, industrial pipelines, small-scale pumping stations, and fire-fighting systems to protect or improve the efficiency of water transportation and save energy.
Air vent valves are used to balance the pressure in a tank while preventing fluid spillage through vent lines. These valves allow the free flow of fluid or air in or out of a chamber or tank until they close, typically activated by a float. During refueling, incoming fuel displaces the air in the tank. The vent valve allows this air to escape through a designated path. When the tank is full, the float valve closes, preventing fuel from escaping. These valves also allow air to re-enter the tank as fuel is consumed, preventing dangerous negative pressure and potential fuel starvation. Vent valves protect the fuel tank from pressure damage caused by expansion and contraction of the fuel due to temperature changes. In some applications, they incorporate measures to prevent fuel from exiting the tank when the aircraft is inverted during flight or in an emergency.
Applications for Tianjin U-ideal float-type air vents include hydronic heating systems, water service lines, water storage tanks, centrifugal pumps, gas lines, solvent filters, and similar equipment. The operation is fully automatic, and the simple design and quality mechanism ensure trouble-free performance with minimal maintenance.

Air can create air locks that inhibit system filling or pump priming. It can seriously affect the accuracy of flow measurement meters and regulating valves. Under extreme conditions, it may even temporarily shut down plant operations. Air and other non-condensable gases significantly reduce heat transfer efficiency. A film of air just 1 mm thick presents the same barrier to heat transfer as a copper wall 13 m thick! Entrapped air in any water system is a threat to thermal efficiency, especially in chilled water systems that lack the natural deaerating ability of hot water.
