**Three-discs High-intensity Magnetic Separator**
**Working Principle**
This machine consists of two main parts: the host unit (mechanical) and the electrical unit (control cabinet). When the minerals to be separated are placed into the bin, adjust the clearance between the magnetic disc tooth tip and the conveyor belt to an appropriate range (usually around 1mm), and set the DC current in the control cabinet to a suitable value (typically 4–6 A), depending on the mineral properties, particle size, and separation needs. The materials are then fed into the permanent magnetic feeding drum, where high-conductivity minerals are removed. Through a feeding plate, the minerals are evenly distributed onto the belt conveyor (the mineral thickness is usually between 0.2–0.8mm). As the machine operates, the belt conveyor moves the minerals under the magnetic disc, where paramagnetic minerals are quickly attracted to the tips of the magnetic teeth. When the magnetic disc rotates into the low-intensity magnetic area, these minerals fall into the concentrate bin due to gravity and centrifugal force. Meanwhile, diamagnetic minerals are carried to the tailings bin via the belt conveyor and discharged.
**Application**
This equipment is primarily used for dry separation of weakly magnetic minerals, such as tungsten, titanium, manganese, and rare earth elements, which have a specific magnetization greater than 40×10â»â¶ m³/kg.
