PART II: WHAT IS A MAGNETIC SEPARATOR?
A magnetic separator uses a rotating drum to create a magnetic field. Materials enter the unit, and non-magnetic items fall through a mesh at the base. Magnetic particles are attracted to the sides of the container. These separators are used in both continuous and batch processing. They are ideal for removing unwanted metal from shipments, purifying ores, and separating recyclable materials. Units range from small lab-scale models to large industrial drums used in recycling centers.
Series RCDB, also known as PDC disc-type electromagnetic separators, are designed to remove iron from powdery or granular non-magnetic materials.

PART III: INSTALLATION GUIDANCE
As shown in the image, the separator can be installed on the head or middle of a conveyor. Regardless of placement, ensure:
- The separator is positioned at the top of the conveyor.
- It should be vertically aligned with the conveyor.
- There must be a lifting point on the conveyor’s top. We can provide adjustable lifting chains or a frame for installation.
- This is a manual discharge type; workers will need to remove iron using a non-magnetic scraper.
- You may require a non-magnetic roll depending on your application.
- For manual discharge models, check if a traveling car is needed.
