Fire Marshal Steve Lenzi of Waukegan confirmed that emergency crews arrived at the scene of the AB Specialty Silicones plant located at 3790 Sunset Ave., but were quickly overwhelmed by intense flames. The facility is situated in the city’s far northwest area, near the border with Gurnee.
