China's first counter-mounted diesel engine successfully fired in Yuchai

On July 28, 2015, China's first counter-mounted diesel engine , independently developed by Yuchai , and original technology, was successfully ignited on Yuchai’s headquarters test bench.

This engine breaks the layout of the cylinder block and cylinder head of a conventional diesel engine, adopts a horizontally opposed layout, applies a variety of latest technologies, eliminates some common and difficult-to-solve problems from the source, and develops a new structure of the engine for Yuchai Shares. The mature engine opened a new window, marking Yuchai's engine development into a new field.

It is reported that the research and development level of Yuchai shares in the diesel engine field is synchronized with the international R&D level and leads the industry in technological advancement. As early as 2011, Yuchai successfully researched and developed diesel prototypes that met the emission standards for Euro VI. Every year, new products with high technological content were born.
