Chicago Still & Box Alarm fire 5-15-13>
Hey everyone,
At around 11:30 AM on Wednesday, Engine 50 and Truck 18 arrived at the scene of a two-and-a-half-story frame house located at 5039 S. Elizabeth. They immediately called for a Still and Box due to the fire being well involved. I got there about half an hour after the initial search and roughly 15 minutes after the 2-2-5 team hit the Box. Here are some of the photos I took.
Engine 84 (using D547) and Engine 49 were assigned to Sector 1 with Truck 18. Truck 18 was on the roof, and Engine 50 was in the alley next to the exposure building at 5041 S. Elizabeth. Other units on the scene included Ambulances 1 and 57, Truck 51, Engine 39, the Command Van 2-7-3, and an Assistant Deputy Fire Commissioner.
