1. Regular slot carton - RSC, also called A - type 1 box, ordinary

CFD Swap Meet and Muster>
On Saturday, June 16th, the Quinn Fire Academy hosted a successful swap meet and fire muster, jointly organized by the 5-11 Club and the Fire Buffs of Illinois. The event brought together fire department enthusiasts, vintage vehicle lovers, and local firefighters for a day of camaraderie, displays, and photo opportunities. Below are some highlights from the gathering.
A number of Chicago Fire Department companies were on hand, including Company 5-1-1. The Haz Mat Unit was also present, showcasing their equipment and expertise. Larry Shapiro captured the moment in a great shot.
Dave Weaver brought his antique CFD Dodge Monaco, a classic piece of firefighting history, for display at the event. This particular vehicle belonged to Division 7 and was a crowd favorite. Another standout was the new CFD Medical Ambulance Bus (8-8-12), which was open for visitors to explore. Bill Friedrich snapped a great photo of the unit parked in the yard.
An Ahrens Fox engine was actively pumping water in the street, demonstrating its power and functionality. Carl Misek was on hand to capture the action. As expected, photographers were everywhere, eager to capture the vibrant scene. Larry Shapiro took several shots of the event, highlighting the energy and enthusiasm of the attendees.
The new training academy engine was positioned for photos, giving visitors a close-up look at the latest addition to the department's fleet. Larry Shapiro captured both the front and rear views, offering a full perspective of the unit. Another notable display was a Ward LaFrance Ambassador P80 engine from Wadsworth, Ohio, owned by Doug Reno. It was one of several vintage trucks on display, adding to the nostalgic atmosphere of the day.
Overall, the event was a huge success, bringing together fire service professionals and fans for a memorable day of celebration and appreciation for the work of firefighters.
