DESCRIPTION
The Roots Rotary Piston Pump System is composed of a Roots Vacuum Pump and a Rotary Piston Vacuum Pump connected in series. The Rotary Piston Pump acts as the pre-vacuum pump and the backing pump for the Roots Pump, while the Roots Pump serves as the main vacuum pump. The selection of displacement ratio between the two pumps depends on the vacuum level required by the system during long-term operation. For low vacuum applications, a smaller displacement ratio (2:1 to 4:1) is recommended, while a larger ratio (4:1 to 10:1) is preferred for medium or high vacuum systems.
