Promote the size of the globally-reliable heavy truck engine or miniaturize it

Finally, the engine size of the US heavy truck market is expected to be miniaturized. The current average engine size of U.S. trucks is 14.1 liters, while that of European heavy trucks is 12 liters. It is expected that the average size of American truck engines will drop to 12.8-13.2 liters by 2018. However, as with cars, the rated output of truck engines is increasing, allowing smaller sized engines to output the same amount of power.
