Hainan Xisha Distressed Fishing Boat 24 Tourists Safely Transferred

According to the Hainan Maritime Safety Administration’s General Duty Office, at 10:10 on the 9th, a distressed fishing boat near Hainan Xisha was successfully rescued and 24 tourists have safely transferred to the marine police ship.

At about 20 o'clock on the 8th, the Hainan Maritime Search and Rescue Center received a report from the Sanya Maritime Search and Rescue Sub-center. "Jonglingao 113098" privately used 24 tourists on January 2nd, and a total of 27 fishermen with 3 crew members sailed from Sanya and sailed to the Silas Paradise Islands. They arrived at the Yongle Archipelago on the 3rd and plan to return to Sanya on the 5th. Affected by the wind and waves, the ship attempted to return to the sea without success and chose to anchor in the northeast direction of Treasure Island in the Yongle Islands for 10 nautical miles to request assistance.

After receiving the report, Hainan Maritime Search and Rescue Center immediately launched an emergency plan for maritime search and rescue and adopted emergency measures. The first is to establish communication links with fishing boats through multiple channels to appease tourists; second is to report the situation and the situation taken by the search and rescue center to the Ministry of Transport, the Hainan Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government; and thirdly, to coordinate the Sansha City Government, the garrison in Xisha, and the coastal guard , nearby ships and rescue ships started to rescue.

The Hainan Maritime Search and Rescue Center coordinated and assisted them. As of 10:10 on the 9th, the Marine Police had safely transferred all passengers in distress to the Marine Police 46002 boat. The marine police boat will return to Sanya Port in due course.
