Carryback can lead to:
- **Excessive buildup** and wear on conveyor belt idlers and pulleys

**Primary Belt Cleaners** are installed at the head pulley and are designed to remove up to 80% of the initial carryback. The blade is narrower than the belt width, ensuring efficient cleaning without damaging the belt.
**Secondary Belt Scrapers**, located further down the conveyor line, provide additional cleaning. They typically remove up to 90% of sticky fines, with blades that match or exceed the belt width.
