The reporter learned from the China Institute of Metrology that the national key research and development plan led by the institute is the “National Quality Foundation Common Technology Research and Application” (hereinafter referred to as “NQI Special Project”) typical demonstration project “Carbon-based carbon-based nanomaterials”. NQI Technology Research, Integration and Application Demonstration was recently launched in Beijing.

According to reports, the project carried out NQI technology basic research under the guidance of carbon-based nanomaterials such as graphene, and studied the integration technology of NQI elements, and carried out the full chain application demonstration of NQI technology in related industries. Through the implementation of the project, the industry's measurement, standard and conformity assessment system for carbon-based nanomaterials such as graphene was initially established in China, and the NQI full-chain demonstration application was realized to guide and standardize the healthy and orderly development of China's high-quality carbon-based nanomaterial industry. The technical barriers of related industries in international trade accelerate the industrialization and commercialization of carbon-based nanomaterials in China, improve the competitiveness of related products in the international market, implement the strategy of serving the country with strong quality and build an innovative society.

Bai Chunli, dean of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and party secretary, attended the project kick-off meeting and said that measurement, standardization, certification and accreditation, and inspection and testing work are of great significance for research, education, industrialization and international trade in the field of new materials. He hopes that all units will concentrate their strengths and jointly promote the implementation of the project, so that the various elements of NQI will be engaged as a "gear" to jointly solve various problems in the process of enterprise development.
