Nanning informs about accidents caused by traffic accidents: 26 people are controlled

An accident involving a traffic accident occurred under the overpass of Youai Road in Nanning City, Guangxi Province, and caused crowding. In response, the Nanning Public Security Bureau held a press conference on the afternoon of the 14th.

Wang Yihui, deputy director of the Public Security Bureau of Nanning, reported that at 20:24 pm on June 13th, Chen (male, 36 years old, from Taihe County, Anhui Province) drove an unmounted numbered Toyota sedan at UF Overpass. There was a rear-end collision with the Santana taxi that was driven by Momou. After the incident, there was a dispute between the two parties and the taxi driver Mo Mou was beaten. After receiving the police, the police rushed to the scene to investigate and deal with the matter. It was determined that Chen was responsible for the accident and the two parties had no objection. However, Momou asked Chen to pay for his medical bills on the spot and called other taxi drivers to the scene. This traffic accident caused a large number of surrounding people to gather and watch. When Momou and Chen reached a compensation agreement on the spot mediation of the public security agency and honored it, the on-site police were prepared to remove Chen from the investigation and detain the unlicensed vehicle in accordance with the law. They were obstructed by on-site personnel and some of the staff were out of control. The police clashed with Chen and his girlfriend. The scene troublemakers overturned Chen’s car and dropped two old military vehicle number plates from the car. The on-site troublemakers then lit the car and incinerated them. Some troublemakers overturned the two police cars and one open patrol car at the scene. Stones, clubs, bricks and other attacks on the police on duty, the situation further upgraded.

Wang Yi said that “on-site civilian police have maintained the restraint of the rated limit and repeatedly discouraged it.” When the persuasion was ineffective, to prevent the situation from continuing to expand, after the reinforcements arrived, the public security agencies took compulsory measures to control 26 on-site troublemakers, extinguish the vehicles on fire, evacuated the crowds, and sent the injured party to the hospital for treatment.

At 4 o'clock in the morning on the 14th, the situation on the site had been subsided, and the onlookers gradually left after being persuaded. Momou, a taxi driver, suffered less injuries. After treatment, it was no problem. Chen and his girlfriend also suffered injuries.

Wang Yi also disclosed that Chen, the party claimed to be a soldier in a certain unit in Gui, had no such person checked by the military. The old military vehicle number plates “empty J15058” and “empty J15068” on his vehicle were all false. The vehicles they drive are also being further verified by public security agencies.

Wang Yi said that public security agencies will deal with Chen’s actions in accordance with the law. With regard to suspected offenders who have participated in the fight against stencils on the spot, public security agencies will pursue them according to law and deal with them seriously. At the same time, it is hoped that the citizens who were present will provide evidence and clues to the public security organs. Regarding the follow-up investigation and handling, Nanning Public Security Bureau will promptly inform the media.
