The 2SK series two-stage liquid ring vacuum pumps are designed to perform efficiently like two sets of SK series water ring vacuum pumps. While the SK series pumps can only achieve a maximum vacuum of -700mmHg, the 2SK series was developed in the 1980s to meet the need for higher vacuum and greater pumping speed under high vacuum conditions. This makes them ideal for industrial applications requiring precise and reliable vacuum control.

APPLICATION
It can be applied to vacuum drying, vacuum degassing, vacuum concentration, vacuum evaporation, and vacuum impregnation processes in chemical, pharmaceutical, metallurgy, food, medicine, textile, papermaking, and electrical industries (electronic industrial field), among others. It can be combined with Roots Vacuum Pumps and atmospheric jet pumps to achieve high vacuum, high efficiency, and low power consumption.

Regular Selection for Water(Liquid)Ring Vacuum Pump
1, Based on the vacuum value
(1) If the pump is operated for a long time with the inlet pressure range between 1.3×10^4~1×10^5 Pa (between 100 and 760 Torr), please choose the SK series water ring vacuum pump.
(2) If the pump is operated for a long time with the inlet pressure range between 5×10^3~1.3×10^4 Pa (between 40 and 100 Torr), please choose the 2SK series water ring vacuum pump.
(3) If the pump is operated for a long time with the inlet pressure range between 1×10^3~1.3×10^4 Pa (between 8 and 100 Torr), please choose the 2YK series liquid ring vacuum pump.

2, Working Media
There are four principles to choose working media (i.e., ring liquids):
(1) Lower saturated steam pressure
(2) Lower viscosity
(3) Stable physical & chemical features; no chemical reaction with the pumped gas; no corrosion to the pump; no pollution to the environment.
(4) Economy

If the water is selected as the working medium, the best temperature of supply water should be lower than or equal to 15°C; the highest one should not be higher than 40°C. While transformer oil or other low viscosity and saturated vapor pressure industrial oils are used as the working media, the general supply temperature should not exceed 40°C, and the working medium temperature inside the pump chamber should not exceed 60°C. When a liquid with a lower boiling point is selected as the working medium under some special circumstances, a cooling unit must be equipped to cool down the working medium to ensure that the max temperature is 30°C-50°C, lower than the boiling point. For the closed circulation system of working media, a liquid storage unit and cooler must be equipped, and a gas-liquid separator must be installed at the outlet. A mechanical seal should be used for the dynamic seal of the shaft.

3, Choose the dynamic seal of the shaft:
Choose the packing seal in general occasions; choose the mechanical seal when the pump is used in a no-leak occasion.

4, Choose the material of the part that the gas passed:

(1) For non-anti-corrosion pumps, the shaft is made of 45# steel or 40Cr, and other parts are made of cast iron or brass;
(2) For anti-corrosion pumps, the parts that the gas passed should be made of stainless steel 304 and 306, or other materials suitable for the respective corrosive gas, or the parts should be coated with anti-corrosion coating.
 

5, The motor should be selected based on pumping pressure.

If the pump is used for vacuuming while transferring gas, the pressure of the pump outlet exceeds the standard atmospheric pressure.
When the outlet pressure exceeds 0.15MPa, a special double-stage liquid ring compressor should be chosen instead of refitting the vacuum pump. The power of the equipped motor should be increased significantly. Additionally, a special gas-liquid separator and auto-drain unit should be equipped.
When the outlet pressure is below 0.15MPa, the vacuum pump can be refitted as a compressor. The power of the equipped motor should be increased appropriately.


6, Composition methods of the water ring vacuum pump system
The open circulation system should be used if the working liquid in the outlet need not be circulated or partially circulated.
The closed circulation system should be used if the working liquid in the outlet must be circulated.
