Fiat Chrysler North America recalls 86,000 cars due to generator failure

According to foreign media reports, due to the failure of the alternator, it may cause the extinguishing of the generator or the car to catch fire. Fiat Chrysler will recall more than 86,000 vehicles in North America.

According to Fiat Chrysler USA, the alternator fault may be related to the diode, and the diode may be short-circuited, causing the vehicle to stall or catch fire. The company stated that it has found an accident related to or associated with it, but no collision occurred.

It is reported that the vehicles affected by this recall include Ram 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks, 3500, 4500 and 5500 produced in 2007-2013, and Dodge Charger Pursuits police cars produced in 2011-2014.

Fiat Chrysler will recall 74,833 vehicles in the United States, 10,077 vehicles in Canada, 1,088 vehicles in Mexico, and 134 vehicles in markets outside North America.
