In the WPC 1.1 version, the FOD function is particularly emphasized, which can effectively prevent users from accidentally placing metal objects such as rings and rings on the wireless charging board, causing the system to generate heat or overload. In addition to solving the problem of metal foreign objects, it will also improve the minimum time period for transmitting information packets at the wireless charging receiver, so that the receiver can immediately notify the transmitter to stop power transmission when a metal foreign object is found.
Although the wireless charging related products provided for the WPC camp on the market currently account for the highest market share, and the PMA camp has emerged as a rising star, whether or not there is a future trend toward providing a solution capable of supporting dual-mode wireless charging technology, said He Xinlong. Due to the high similarity of the WPC and PMA coils, it is suitable for the development of integrated dual-mode wireless charging technology. Currently, TI has started to design, but due to the fact that the technical standards of the PMA camp have not yet been finalized, dual-mode wireless charging is supported. The timing of the chip launch of the technology is slow, and at this stage it can only wait for the PMA camp to accelerate its pace.
