Berwyn has been added to the site

The Berwyn Fire Department, part of MABAS Division 11, has recently been added to the site thanks to the efforts of several dedicated individuals. The photos featured here were contributed by Drew Gresik, Steve Redick, Hank Sajovic, and Larry Shapiro, who helped provide a visual representation of the department’s stations and equipment. Berwyn is a career fire department with 79 full-time personnel serving a small area of just under four square miles. Their fleet includes a mix of apparatus, such as three units from Seagrave, one engine from Pierce, and their latest addition—a brand-new engine from Crimson. Station 1, located at 6434 Windsor Avenue, serves the southern part of the district. This photo was taken by Hank Sajovic and gives a clear view of the station's exterior. Station 2, situated at 6615 16th Street, is the northern station. This image, captured by Larry Shapiro, shows the building and surrounding area. Engine 903, a 2009 Spartan Gladiator from Crimson, is one of the department’s most recent additions. It's a modern and well-equipped unit that supports the firefighters in their daily operations. Another notable piece of equipment is Rescue Engine 911, which plays a vital role in emergency response and technical rescue operations. These vehicles are essential to the department's ability to serve the community effectively. The Berwyn Fire Department continues to grow and adapt, ensuring they are always ready to protect the residents of their area.
