2SK Pump Description:

The 2SK series two-stage water ring vacuum pump and the 2SK-P1 series two-stage water ring vacuum pump—air injection pump unit are high-performance vacuum systems designed for applications requiring high vacuum levels and fast evacuation speeds. These pumps feature a compact design, reliable operation, and ease of maintenance, meeting industry standards such as JB/TQ354-84 (Water Ring Vacuum Pump and Water Ring Air Compressor).

The unit is composed of a single-stage air injection pump and a two-stage water ring vacuum pump, which can be used separately or together based on client requirements.

This two-stage water ring vacuum pump or unit is ideal for pumping non-corrosive gases that are insoluble in water and free from solid particles, making it suitable for achieving high vacuum in sealed vessels.

Working Principle:

The working principle of the two-stage water ring vacuum pump involves an eccentrically mounted impeller rotating inside the pump casing. As the impeller rotates, water is thrown outward due to centrifugal force, forming a rotating water ring between the impeller and the casing. This creates a dynamic seal that allows gas to be drawn into the pump through an intake port during the suction phase and expelled during the compression phase.

An air injection pump operates by using a jet injector. When the two-stage water ring vacuum pump reaches maximum vacuum, the atmosphere pump connects to the system, allowing air or pressurized gas to enter the pipe due to pressure differences. The flow is accelerated, reducing pressure and enabling the pump to achieve higher vacuum levels than without the air injection.

The structural drawing of the two-stage water ring vacuum pump with a capacity over 1.5 m³/min shows a longer and shorter impeller fixed to a shaft, forming a rotor. The impellers are supported by radial ball bearings and connected to the motor via a coupling. The longer impeller and pump body form the high-vacuum section, while the shorter one forms the low-vacuum section. The two sections are connected via a communicating pipe, and the pump is sealed at both ends.

Water is supplied to the high-vacuum segment through an inlet, and the low-vacuum segment receives make-up water from the high-vacuum side. For certain models, part of the make-up water is regulated through valves. The air injection pump includes an inlet pipe, jet nozzle, valve body, and diffuser.
