The total output value of China's packaging industry will exceed 1,200 billion this year

Yang Weimin, vice president of the China Packaging Federation, said on the 14th that the total output value of China's packaging industry will continue to grow at a rapid rate, not less than 20%, and is expected to historically exceed 1,200 billion yuan.

Yang Weimin said that the packaging industry is an industry that has close links with various industries and plays an indispensable role in production, circulation, and consumer activities. The rapid development of China's packaging industry in recent years has attracted worldwide attention. The total output value has grown from 250 billion yuan in 2003 to a breakthrough of 1,000 billion yuan in 2009, which has quadrupled in six years.

The three economic circles around the Bohai Bay, the Pearl River Delta and the Yangtze River Delta are the most developed areas in the packaging industry in China. The total industrial output value accounts for 81% of the total output value of the national packaging industry.

However, Yang Weimin, leader of the "12th Five-Year Development Plan for China's packaging industry," also believes that although the total output value of China's packaging industry is large, the overall level of technology is not high, especially since the self-development ability is not Strong, industrial structure and business philosophy are more traditional, and the company's core competitiveness needs to be improved.
