To meet the basic power needs of markets outside Europe and North America, Atlas Copco has released a QAS generator add-on that meets the basic standard specifications. The new QAS generator, called QASflx, is ideal for a wide range of heavy-duty applications such as rental, construction, mining and shipyards. Its optional models are divided into 50 and 60Hz.
The Atlas Copco QAS series of mobile generators are designed for fast, convenient and safe transportation and on-site operations on almost any unprepared surface. The QAS series of units actually available has a proven track record and is available in a variety of models from 14 to 571kVA. The standard specifications of the QASflx models are more basic than the actual QAS series. Based on these standard configurations, the end user can complete the series with a wide range of options to meet their power needs. The new QAS generator is first introduced in the model 13-45kVA, and more models will be added in the future.
The QAS series units are located in a soundproof hood made of galvanized steel with a powder coating and are particularly suitable for noise sensitive work areas.
The hood also features optimum corrosion protection to ensure that the unit remains operating at peak conditions with a higher resale value.
